Banquet Server

The Waterville Valley Resort Conference Center is currently seeking full-time and part-time Banquet Servers for breakfast and lunch, dinner, and weddings. Responsibilities include providing excellent table and banquet line service through setting tables, serving food, stocking stations with supplies, monitoring tables to assure all guest needs and requests are met, and clear and clean tables. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising and training line cooks, prep cooks, and stewards; overseeing and participating in preparation of basic foods and meals; watching for efficiencies; recording inventory; helping order supplies.  Requirements include: high school diploma with some culinary education; supervisory and inventory experience; 3 – 5 years professional cooking experience. Housekeeper

Nordic

Nordic Ski Instructor

We’re accepting applications for part-time Nordic Ski Instructors responsible for teaching adult and children ski classes and assisting with ski school and Nordic Center organization.  As an ambassador for the resort, provides excellent customer service to guests, staff and affiliate business partners.  Teaches classes in cross country techniques which may include classic and/or skate skiing.  Assists with area set up, races, promotions and special events.  Additionally, assists guests with proper fitting and use of equipment.

Maintains current PSIA-level knowledge of teaching and skiing techniques. Assist with rental and retail as needed and serves as an ambassador for the sport and Resort; fielding questions from guests, providing demonstrations on cross country skiing and sharing knowledge of Nordic skiing, equipment, trail system and facility to help increase interest.   Assists with snow removal including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, stairs, equipment and other areas as needed. Assists with checking of season pass holders.  Waterville Valley Resort is an "at-will" equal opportunity employer.

Nordic Patrol

Waterville Valley Resort is currently seeking a full-time and part time/on-call Nordic Patrol for the upcoming winter season. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Providing first aid on trails, toboggan handling, trail set up, hazard marking and general trail maintenance.  Patrol monitors trail access and enforce safety regulations; remaining calm, courteous, and professional in potentially stressful situations.  Must have or be capable of obtaining OEC or equivalent professional certification and be strong cross country skier capable of handling all terrain.  Part time/on – call position, must be able to work weekends and holidays. "Bruce the moose" and Handler

Waterville Valley Resort is looking for two individuals to interchange between the Resort’s mascot “Bruce the Moose” and his Handler during community events.  As an entertainer and personality of WVR, “Bruce the Moose” will engage with guests in a family friendly and outgoing manner.  This non-verbal role requires the character to have the ability to communicate through motions and signals.  The Handler will be responsible for proving support, security, and verbal communication to “Bruce the Moose” while ushering between venues and in front of guests.  The Handler will articulate the character’s non-verbal queues while performing in character; ensure clear intent of his gestures and motions to guests, provide crowd control, safety and security of the mascot.  Requirements include: Must be able to work and fit in costume and have physical dexterity to withstand weight, confined dimension/space and interior climate of suit.  Must be outgoing and have a creative personality with a willingness and desire to have fun with all levels of children and adults. Must have willingness to perform wacky, whimsical, spirited and entertaining promotional activities both in and outdoors and in variable weather conditions. SEASON PASS/ TICKET ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR    

We are currently seeking a full time, seasonal position as the Season Pass/ Ticket Assistant Supervisor.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assuring quality service to all mountain guests by training and managing qualified employees in the season pass/ ticket department, overseeing daily operations of the season pass/ticket office, procedures, and monitoring staff, handling guest inquiries and complaints, overseeing opening and closing of the office.  Requirements are a high school diploma, experience with cash and cash receipts, good computer and telecommunication skills. Resort/ hospitality experience preferred.  Must be available to work weekends and holidays.  Must demonstrate strong communication, leadership skills.
