Opening Day 2017/18

After months of hard work and almost $3 million invested already in upgrades and new improvements, we are committed first and foremost to providing the best quality for your money. That's why we will officially open for the 2017/18 Season on November 24th, 2017. With rain and mixed precipitation forecast for this weekend followed quickly by freezing temperatures, we are taking the time to build and maintain a resilient base. Mother Nature and our upgraded high-efficiency snowmaking system hammered trails from top to bottom earlier this week, from the White Peaks Quad to the base area. As soon as perfect weather returns early next week we will fire up our new Sufag fleet again and lay down the best quality snow possible to kick off a monumental season. Close out opening day with apres at our Welcome Back bash featuring appetizers, drinks, and plenty of info on everything you can expect to see this season from President and General Manager, Tim Smith. Then on Saturday, get into the spirit of the season in Town Square. Some brave plungers will take to the pond, Santa and his sled dogs are coming to town, we will flip the switch for our annual tree lighting, and as always, end the night with fireworks over the pond. This year the entirety of Waterville Valley Resort is Progressing to the Next Level so you won't want to miss our grand entrance!
